Level 1: Brief Screening Evaluations
Brief Screening Evaluations are concise 15-minute assessments that assist in making immediate, on-the-spot suggestions to prevent injury. Often, these screening evaluations are offered after a group employee training class. A brief written or verbal summary is provided of the ergonomic suggestions. Typical reasons to select this type of assessment:
- When the employer wishes to screen a whole group of symptom-free employees at a time
- As part of a planning process for upgrading to new equipment
- After relocating staff to a new space or after a space remodel
